Ive tried uptating the script, updating the packages, removing all packages that I wont be using. I have a pi4 and manually installed the disk image. I have tried to play them with and without the optional packages (ppsspp and redream are thr ones Ive downloaded), installed lr-psx-rearmed from both binary and source, tried uploading a few roms at a time, but I cannot get stable results. The most success I've had so far was when about 20 of the roms would work (the first 20 in alphabetical order) but no others would. Same problem as commonly reported: loading screen pops up and then goes back to the romlist. While using lr-psx-rearmed (installed witg either binary or source) and having double checked to make sure the BIOS is in the file, I get very irregular results when trying to play ps1 games. I'm desperate as I have tried many fixes for this issue but I cant seem to figure out what the issue is. If all this didn't help, you just need to wait for the next version, but hey, this emulator is free so please don't send any E-Mails to the authors asking for game X to work in the next release. To get the controller working again, you just need to enable "SIO IRQ always on" in the misc menu or simply press F4 during emulation! In games like Driver, Ridge Racer, Street Figher etc., it might happen that you just aren't able to control anything. And last but not least, you should try to start the emulator with the option '-cdtiming' or activate the "Enable Accurate CD-ROM Timing" option in the CD-ROM configuration screen. Some games have special workarounds found in these patches with allow them to run, or fix some in-game bug. If this isn't the problem, you can try to load the game patches using the "Cheat" option in ePSXe. when it does nothing on start, try another plugin (see plugins section for more help). Now, check if your CD-ROM drive at least TRIES to read the game CD. Some people also informed us that using a different BIOS version has helped them getting the emu working. In case you're running the game from an ISO file, try Daemon Tools, since some games only work properly with that tool. Then, you could try to disable MDECs, since some games crash when they try to show the opening movie. see the Getting started section for more plugin troubleshooting. We suggest you use Pete's plugins for GPU (OpenGL, D3D or Soft), since they provide the best compatibility.
